Money Project

In this project we designed new American dollar bills. I chose to stick to a simple, yet elegant design for my five dollar bill. What I particularly enjoyed was inserting the flying eagle into the picture of the statue of liberty; it looks like it belongs there. The vertical image listed second is the front of my bill, and the horizontal photo is of the back.

Copyright

Through the copyright assignment I was able to learn a lot about what is considered copyright for imagery. It surprised me how many images were so similar on the WorldFamous Design Junkies Website. Check out the link below to see how those images compare! I also was very interested in the case of Shepard Fairey and the Obama Hope Poster.

This woman looks exactly the same, down to her shoes!

Other than a cocktail and some text these two images look identical.

My Chimera

This is one of my Chimera images. It's a dog with a goat head and flamingo for a tail.

This was the first Chimera I created and my favorite of the three. I took the head of a cheetah and put in on a zebra body with a squirrel tail.

The third Chimera was my least successful one. I think if I turned down the saturation in the flamingo it would have blended together better with the cat body and raccoon head.

Jackie's First Post

This is my first post on blogger.
